Helping Students Impacted by COVID-19

Alfred State Pioneers are known for helping one another and overcoming great obstacles.

That’s why during this time of crisis, the college is calling on Pioneers everywhere to contribute to the Support Our Students (SOS) Emergency Fund, which assists Alfred State students who have serious financial needs due to COVID-19.

Among the biggest needs students and their families are facing are:

Technology needs – Laptops and internet access.

Food insecurity – Many students and their families are in financial hardship, which presents challenges regarding access to food.

Financial concerns – Financial difficulties also mean that impacted students may not be able to continue their education in the fall.

As of the publication of this magazine, the campaign had received over $39,000 toward its goal of $50,000. Our students still need your help, and you can make a difference by donating today.

“We are sending out the SOS,” said President Dr. Skip Sullivan. “Our hope is that Alfred State alumni and friends can heed our call for help: SOS to support our students.”

You may also want to visit our Food Insecurity Fund. This is the other active need of our students during this coronavirus pandemic.
